Here’s the first review, from The Romance Studio:
Cassandra Ariel Delistraty (Cassie, to her friends) had always known
Mike Ashford and he had always seemed to rescue her when she
got into trouble. When she was 17, at her high school graduation
party, they had kissed for the first time. It was surreal! The fact that
Mike was her twin’s best friend hampered the possibility of a
relationship. Now, years later, Cassie was an attorney who had left
her latest partnership and divorced her husband, Ken, when she
caught him cheating. Mike had also been married but his wife had
never been faithful; then he was injured during his firefighting
duties and had to retire. He went into partnership with another
officer who had been injured previously; they opened a bar called
“The Electric Wave.”

Cassie and Cal, her twin, along with Mike, had been next-door
neighbors and friends for years. The biggest difference in their
circumstances was that the twins were related to the Delistraty’s
clan and had clout and money! Mike, while not poor, certainly could
not equal their wealth and standing. That fact never seemed to
bother them unless they were thrown together with Cassie and Cal’s
grandparents.

With that kind of background, you might wonder why Cassie and
Mike would knowingly enter a charade to feign they are a couple. Ms
Stacia Wolf does an amazing job of explaining this saga in a fresh
new way. Her writing style is a rapid read which involves not only the
couple, but both their families. The use of sub-characters enhances
the story and extracts both the positives and negatives which
plague this couple. The differences in the families, as well as the
hostilities between the previous next-door neighbors strengthen
the resolve needed to maintain this “couple” position.

This book is so extraordinary that I, literally, read it in one setting
and it is not a short story! I became engrossed in the story
immediately; Ms. Wolf does not start slow and move forward. She
started the story with a jolt and it progressed from there. I
wholeheartedly recommend this story. It is definitely a winner!

Chapter 5 of Stop That Wedding! is now online.
This is a story I wrote a few years ago.  It’s a fun, slapstick romp through a
socialite’s attempts at learning about the real world, planning her wedding,
and not falling in love with the wrong guy.  Add an overbearing grandfather,
a whacky mother, a very opinionated younger sister, and you have the
perfect recipe for disaster.

Here’s an excerpt:

Brad reached for some popcorn, but Zenith pulled the bowl out of his reach.
“If you want some, go make your own!”

He laughed, lunging for the popcorn.  “No way!  I came here for the free
movie and popcorn, and I demand to get my fair share!”  He grabbed for the
bowl, managing to get a finger around the edge of it.  Zenith tugged the bowl
free, causing a few golden kernels to fall onto the floor.  With a yip of delight,
Buffy jumped down to enjoy the unexpected treat.

Chortling uncontrollably, Zenith ordered, “Buffy, stop!  No, you’ll get fat!”
But the animal either didn’t understand the commands or decided that a
madly cackling owner wasn’t much of a threat.  She continued to happily
munch the snack.

Brad changed his tactics, as she determinedly held the bowl well above her
head.  With his free hand he spanned her ribcage and began to tickle.

Shrieking, she tried to escape him, jerking away as far as the couch would
allow.  The popcorn bowl jiggled haphazardly; popcorn cascaded all over
them, the couch, the floor, and Buffy.

“Yes!” Brad crowed, stopping his attack to grab a handful of popcorn off her
lap.  He pulled a kernel out of one of her braids while she glared at him
through her giggles.

“You look enchanting with popcorn in your hair,” he told her mischievously.
“And I like the new bowl.”  Grinning wickedly, he scooped a few more pieces
from her lap.  With a laughing shout of outrage, she tossed the remainder of
the popcorn in the bowl straight into his face.

“That means war, woman!” he growled at her, launching himself at her.  In a
futile attempt to escape, she dropped the bowl and tried to scramble off the
couch.  Brad was ready though; with a firm arm wrapped about her waist, he
pulled her back onto the couch and onto his lap.  Laughing and screeching,
Zenith struggled against his strong hold.  He was unyielding; she finally
collapsed against him, dragging in deep breaths.

“Oh, my ribs ache!” she said as she tried to calm her speeding pulse.  The
heat of his body radiated through her pajamas.  For a moment she let
herself indulge in the feel of his hard body and firm muscles against her.  It
was a tiny slice of heaven, she decided.  She stifled a sigh as he spread the
fingers of one hand over her back.

Grinning, Brad brushed one of her braids away from her face.  “You look like
a little girl with these,” he observed teasingly.  His fingers grazed her cheek.

Her breath caught in her throat as a current of awareness shot through her.
