Today is December 1st, and I've played hookey from work.  Actually, I do have a doctor's note (lol).  I spent the day getting some writing done - I'm working on my part of the Samhain Christmas anthology for 2007.  The title is Miracle at Midnight.  The basic premise is a woman's been punished for her bad behavior - by being turned into a statue.  She gets a chance for redemption every fifty years, but so far she hasn't met her 'parole' requirements.  This is her last chance. Otherwise, she'll return to being a statue - forever.




 




But she's hitting some obstacles.  First, the 'statue' was moved from France to NYC, and second - she's run into the biggest cynic in the world, along with the cutest little girl in the world, who happens to be the cynic's daughter.  Together, can they find the answer to the riddle she must solve?


So here I sit, writing a scene about ice skating in Central Park and distracting myself with this blog.  lol




Okay, now back to work.

Congrats on getting your blog up and running. I'm kinda sorta working on getting mine up too, inbetween a hundred and fifty other things <g> The Christmas story sounds good. I look forward to seeing it in the anthology.

Emma and Liz - I could label my procrastination as a creative pause, but I'm sure you know better. LOL Actually, the story's moving along well.
