I've been a busy girl lately. The short story, 'Miracle at Midnight', is, for all intent, done except for the last paragraph. I've yet to be able to sit down and work on it (I'm on my lunch at work right now). My friend the electrician was over, working on the new bathroom last night. He gave me a huge list that I needed to buy before he shows up today. Which meant I was at Lowe's last night at closing, and still had to get home and do some chores.
Today's what we call 'family night', where my adult kids show up and have dinner with us. I usually don't do any fancy cooking - I've been working a lot of overtime, and sometimes the kids arrive before I do. There are usually two grandkids in attendance as well, and tonight my other grandson will hopefully be showing up with my oldest daughter and her fiance. AND on top of that, the electrician will be back again tonight.
So what do the kids want to do tonight? Decorate the tree. Guess where the tree is? I don't know! In a box somewhere - probably out in the garage, I'm thinking, which is filled to the rafters with my sons' things.
I can tell already - tonight will be a relaxing evening... lol
