Little Solomon David entered this world the last week of Febrary a little too soon. Weighing in at 2 lbs 6 oz., he's spent his life in the NICU. His dad, my nephew, David, and his mom, Sara, are locked in the struggle for the little guy's life. And it hasn't been an easy struggle.
Before he was born, Sara was admitted to the hospital with hemorhagging. It didn't look good for either of them, but the doctors stopped the bleeding, and determined that Sara needed total bedrest, complete with a hopsital stay. But a few days later, the battle started again and little Solomon made his debut.
Since his birth, he's been fighting. Currently he's battling a yeast infection and has developed pnuemonia. He's gained four ounces since birth, and until the pnuemonia had been breathing on his own.
For those of you who pray, please do so. If you like, you can leave me comments here. Let's help that little guy win his fight, so I'll have one more mouth to feed during the holidays!
