It's out, and I'm sooo excited! I get to soon hold a copy of my second book, Pretend You Love Me. I LOVE this book, it was so much fun to create. Even the editing was fun with Sara as my editor.
Today, I get to once again go down to the Social Security office and try to get a replacement card for my son. Young parents: Don't EVER lose that card! It takes an act of Congress to get a new one. The first time, they wouldn't order one because his student ID was a year old. So, the next day I came back with his new student ID, along with his birth certificate (to prove I'm the mom) and his paper copy of his new state ID. BIG mistake. They now had to wait until I got the actual ID card in. If I hadn't shown them that, I might have gotten the stupid card.
So I had to wait a week to get the card, then the parents' anniversary happened, then the wedding, then the cold. So once again, I'm going to go try to get the stupid thing. I have the birth certificate, the student ID, the actual state ID card. I'm just wondering what excuse they'll come up with this time? Wait - have they delayed me so long that he's 18? Nope, still sixteen.
So it's off to get all of this done. Hopefully sometime today I can get some writing in there.
